A t February 8 convened NA regular sitting, the draft law on Making Addenda to the L aw on Compensation of Losses Caused to the Serviceman’s Life or Health D uring the D efense of the Republic of Armenia authored by the deputy of the NA Civil Contract Faction Hayk Sargsyan was debated in the second reading.

It is proposed to stipulate that the financial compensation designed by the Servicemen’s Insurance Fund to the servicemen, who died during the RA defense, and don’t have parents, wife or children, will be equally distributed between the serviceman’s brother and sister. If there are brothers or sisters, in this case also the compensation shall be equally given.

Compensation is also envisaged for a person, who has a child with the killed serviceman. The divorced wife having a child with the killed serviceman cannot be considered a beneficiary.

Gurgen Melkonyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security.

The RA Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan presented the positive conclusion of the Government.
